Chopper Twirls Out of Control into Palm Trees at Popular California Coast
A helicopter flying near a popular coastal beach unexpectedly started spinning wildly, ultimately dropping height and crashing into a row of palm groves as onlookers observed.
Recordings uploaded on social media capture the aircraft commencing to spiral near the beach then plunging near the border of the beach, where it becomes wedged amidst palm trees and a steps adjacent to the shoreline route.
Rescue Operation Update
Emergency responders said five people were taken to hospital comprising a pair who were in the chopper and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the crash on that day.
Three individuals on the street were harmed. Information on their condition were not yet released.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
